Hello everyone in SONE JAPAN~.
It's Sooyoung!

I've never grown flowers before since I'm so busy and unable to look after them, however I received this as a present!

It's a wonderful flowerpot because by only adding water it'll grow naturally ^^
Even a novice like me can very easily grow flowers~.
Just the other day, seedlings sprouted out (* ^_^*)  It's kind of miraculous! (laughs)

Jessica Talks About Her Return to ‘Legally Blonde’ Musical

Jessica Talks About Her Return to ‘Legally Blonde’ Musical

Wreaths are lined up at the theater. They are from all over the world: China, Taiwan, and Vietnam. There’s support from overseas fans who are starting mango tree planting. It is all support for Girls’ Generation’s Jessica.

Jessica has met her moment. Winter is “Ice Princess” Jessica’s season. Busy living the life of an idol going to events, overseas tours, and CF shoots, she is starring in the musical “Legally Blonde”, which opened last month, for the first time in three years.

When we met her at the COEX Artium on December 12th, where “Legally Blonde” was being held, she seemed experienced enough to find the time to relax amidst the business with the performance time nearing and offered mango juice as soon as we sat down.

Jessica has taken the musical stage once again after three years. When she stepped on stage as the main character, Elle Woods, it opened under the same title as the film, “Legally Blonde”. “Legally Blonde” is about Elle Woods, who majored in fashion merchandising and enrolls in Harvard Law School in order to win back the boyfriend she breaks up with. Elle Woods is someone who breaks the stereotype of “blondes = stupid” and is adorable, cute, pure, and also witty.

Jessica’s Elle Woods pulls off the blonde look very well. She delivered the words of director Jang Yoojung, saying, “It was my first time, and I was really young then. The director said that, if I was a young girl trying to show what it was like for a rookie acting like Elle Woods before, now I’m at the age where it’s okay to play Elle Woods, and that I’ve matured a lot.”

“I’m working while recalling my memories. I remembered a lot of the difficult things. I remember it even more because it was so difficult. I only remember being really really busy then.”

Jessica said that a lot of time has passed, the actors have changed, and that it feels like a different balance and musical is coming about. She enjoys getting in tune with new people and acting with an ensemble around her age. However, just because it’s a musical she’s done before, that doesn’t make it any easier.

“There’s a scene where I show a lot of aegyo. I don’t think I’d be able to do that well even if I were to be reborn. Regardless of who my opposite actor is, I need to become empathetic on my own. I need to do it because I’m Elle Woods, and that’s why I’m able to do it.”

Hearing it like this, the mind of a musical actor can be felt quite strongly.

The Jessica seen through television, with her overly confident facial expressions, each word and action she makes are a lot like Elle Woods.

“Elle Woods is really daring. She’s a bit assertive and isn’t afraid of things. I want to learn a lot of those things [from her].”

Before her musical debut, she said she received a culture shock after watching “The Phantom of the Opera” on Broadway. Her debut musical, “Legally Blonde”, was something that also made her grow more. Jessica stated, “I think I received a lot of influence from the personality of Elle Woods. I got a lot brighter through the musical.”

The child who didn’t like standing in front of people lost all embarrassment and fear on stage.

“When I first joined SM, they said they had to shoot and show a video to Lee Sooman, so, while saying my name and stuff, I cried a lot. I was really shy. It’s amazing that a child that was so shy stands on stage like this. And the fact that I’ve changed.”

It’s already been six years since she has debuted. There weren’t activities this year as Girls’ Generation. She is currently putting her time into the musical, preparing for Girls’ Generation’s comeback, and is planning on juggling the Japan arena tour with the comeback.

As all the members, who were busy with solo activities, are all coming together for album and tour preparations, their chats are never-ending. While it’s nice to be together all the time, it’s even nicer seeing each other for the first time in a while. It’s the same for the musical.

Jessica delivered her greetings to the audience, saying, “I’m getting on stage through a musical for the first time in a long time with a happy heart, so I hope the people watching also have a good time.”

According to the people from the music industry.. “SNSD have been working on albums to be released in both Japan and Korea. They will most likely to release a new album in Korea early in January next year“.
However, an SM representative stated, “SNSD has almost finished working on their new album because they have already decided the lead track of the album. But we haven’t decided when to release the album yet. It’s also too early to talk about whether or not they will release a new album in overseas countries“.

MBC to air comeback special show for Girls’ Generation

MBC to air comeback special show for Girls’ Generation

MBC has announced that it will air a comeback special show for Girls’ Generation.

On the 11th, a representative from the television network revealed that staff were currently preparing for the special program to air this coming January. He stated, “MBC is preparing a comeback special program for Girls’ Generation. Though the details of the broadcast as well as the air date have yet to be confirmed, it is scheduled to air sometime in the middle of January.”

MBC is reported to have set up a special team for the comeback program last month. The special is also confirmed to be independent from ‘Show! Music Core‘. Though most artists receive around 10 minutes for their comeback on music programs, it’s particularly rare for a group to have an independent comeback broadcast like Girls’ Generation.

The members of Girls’ Generation have been focusing on individual and unit activities, such as TaeTiSeo, as well as promoting in Japan. They’re currently readying their 4th Korean album, which is scheduled to be released in January of 2013.

Girls’ Generation Planning to Release 4th Korean Album in January!

Girls’ Generation Planning to Release 4th Korean Album in January, MBC to Produce Special Comeback Show

Rumors of Girls’ Generation’s impending comeback have been swirling, as sources are saying that Girls’ Generation is planning to make their comeback in Korea some time in January, 2013 with their fourth full-length Korean album.

The source stated to Star News, “Girls’ Generation has been working on their Korean album in the midst of their Japanese activities. There is a high possibility that Girls’ Generation’s official fourth album will be releasing in early January.” They continued, ”As the title song has been decided on already, work on the official album is close to being finished. We are currently deciding on the final release date.” Regarding Girls’ Generation’s rumored English album, the source stated, “It’s a bit early to be answering anything about releasing an album overseas.”

Further adding to the speculation, a representative from SM Entertainment said, “It is true that we are in the last stages in preparation for the fourth album. But there isn’t anything decided on regarding whether it will be in January or what month. We will keep preparing and mediate the time”, and that Girls’ Generation would be juggling their promotions for both Korea and Japan.

Additionally, MBC is purported to be preparing a special show just for Girls’ Generation’s comeback.

One source revealed to OSEN on the afternoon of December 11th, “MBC is preparing a comeback program for Girls’ Generation. There aren’t any specific details of the show, and the air date has not been decided on yet, but I know it as airing in January.”

MBC has been preparing for this comeback special broadcast since last month, have managed a separate staff, and are devoting themselves to the production.

This special broadcast is going to be a separate, independently organized program apart from the music program, “Show! Music Core”. While there are many typical cases of popular artists getting approximately ten-minute comeback stages on music shows, it’s rare that they get an independent, separate comeback broadcast like Girls’ Generation.

It seems this reflects on the the general public’s high interest in Girls’ Generation’s comeback.

Excitement for Girls’ Generation’s comeback has been growing since rumors began earlier this year of a comeback in November. It’s been 14 months since Girls’ Generation released their third Korean album, “The Boys”. However, Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun did release the mini-album, “Twinkle”, earlier this year as the sub-unit Girls’ Generation – TTS.
