SBS K-POP Concert to be held at California USA

Jessica, part of Girls’ Generation, has received her long-awaited wish! She is officially the next Barbie!

On October 18, Seoul’s Banyan Tree Hotel hosted “Barbie the Dream Closet” party and gave out the Barbie and Ken awards. On this day, Jessica and DBSK’s Yunho were given the honor as the “3rd generation Barbie & Ken.” The awards are given to a male and female celebrity that are fashion icons and had a positive effect on culture. Last year’s winners were Song Joong Ki and After School’s Uee.

It looks like she was meant to be the next Barbie as it turns out she had performed “Barbie Girl” as her solo act within Girls’ Generation’s 1st Asia Tour Concert.

Jessica Attends ‘Love Your W’ Event, ‘Barbie and Ken Awards’ Ceremony, and ‘KOON WITH A VIEW’ Opening

On October 18th, Jessica attended three separate events: the “Love Your W” breast cancer campaign event, Korea’s third annual “Barbie and Ken Awards” ceremony, and the opening of flagship store, “KOON WITH A VIEW”. Jessica started her busy day by attending the seventh annual breast cancer campaign “Love Your W” at the “Fradia” venue near the Han River. Each year, “W Korea” magazine organizes a campaign to promote early screening of breast cancer and a healthy, active lifestyle for women. Jessica attended the “Love Your W” event in 2011 as well. Later that night, Jessica attended Korea’s third annual “Barbie and Ken Awards” ceremony alongside TVXQ!’S U-Know Yunho at the Crystal Ball Room of Banyan Tree Hotel. Each year, a female and male celebrity that had a positive effect on culture and are fashion icons just like Barbie and Ken are chosen and awarded with one-of-a-kind dolls from Mattel made to resemble them. Dressed in a white wedding dress designed by Lee Myunsoon, Jessica truly looked like a Barbie doll. The last event Jessica attended was the opening of of “KOON WITH A VIEW”, a flagship store in Gangnam-gu, Sinsa-dong.
