Girls’ Generation performs at the successful SMTown Live World Tour III in JakartaOn September 22nd, the ‘SMTown Live World Tour III’ concert was held for the first time in Indonesia at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta. The large-scale Kpop concert kicked off at 6.30pm (Jakarta time) and it saw the attendance of over 50,000 fans from around the region to catch their favorite artists from SMTown, namely Kangta, BoA, TVXQ, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, f(x), EXO and Super Junior.
The ‘SMTown Live World Tour III’ concert was the largest ever Kpop concert to be held in Jakarta to date and the warm reception can be felt as early as September 21st when more than 3,500 fans flocked to the Sukarno Hatta International Airport to welcome their idols. From airport, hotel and to the concert venue, enthusiastic cheers could be heard.
Before the concert on September 22nd, a press conference was held and it was participated by reporters from 93 local media such as RCTI, Silet, Asian Plus, etc to cover the news about the huge Kpop concert, proving SM’s global brand power once again.
At the concert, SM artists gave their greetings in the Indonesian language and received warm responses from the crowd. The fans were entertained by SM artists who performed their respective hit songs plus performances from unit groups and special collaboration stages that can only be seen at SMTown Live. With a total of 46 songs, the 4-hour concert presented enthusiastic fans with various repertoires and amazing performances.
Fans raised various types and colors of placards with the pictures and names of their favorite members and held lightsticks with colors that represent the respective groups while having a really great time enjoying the magnificent performances. Also, since it was Hyoyeon’s (September 22nd) and SHINee’s Key’s (September 23rd) birthdays, the fans celebrated their birthdays by singing the birthday song, a gift that touched their hearts.
‘SMTown Live World Tour III’ in Jakarta was concluded successfully and the next stop would be Singapore on November 23rd at The Float @ Marina Bay, followed by Thailand on November 25th, which will be held at SCG Stadium.
