Tiffany had a beautiful photoshoot with 'Elle'

Tiffany opted for toned down makeup with flashy accessories, and if she had bright red lipstick, she balanced the intensity out with a simple shirt and ponytail.

During the interview with the Elle magazine, Tiffany revealed, "I live on food. If I get hungry, I become cranky. You saw me before, right? (The interviewer revealed that she ate tonkatsu, omelette, and California rolls during the shoot) When I went to LA before, Ryu Hyun Jin (Dodgers pitcher) was surprised because he said I ate like an athlete." When asked about the famous 'Girls' Generation diet', she said, "It's all ridiculous! We sometimes perform for 3 and a half hours, and it's impossible to do with just the listed foods. Not only that, the 'I Got A Boy' choreography is quite intense. We need our strength. The managers get surprised and say that we even eat more than Super Junior."

Hyoyeon to Travel to Hong Kong for Topshop and 'EastTouch' Magazine Interview

Hyoyeon to Travel to Hong Kong for Topshop and 'EastTouch' Magazine Interview

Hyoyeon to Travel to Hong Kong for Topshop and 'EastTouch' Magazine Interview

Hyoyeon will be attending a store opening in Hong Kong on June 6th as part of her new position as the Asian ambassador for Topshop. She was also recently interviewed by “EastTouch” magazine, discussing her new endorsement deal, fashion preferences, and general impressions of Hong Kong.

Q1: What are your thoughts on being the Topshop ambassador this year?
A: South Korea doesn’t have Topshop, and I’m a supporter of Topshop. Recently, I can only buy things from Topshop when we go to Japan for our concerts and have some free time to ourselves, which is why I am really happy to have become an ambassador of Topshop. Moreover, after seeing the new collection, I want all the items.

Q2: What’s your favorite style of Topshop clothing?
A: I like anything that is pretty.

Q3: Topshop often does ‘crossovers’ (translator’s note: referring to collaborations) with other brands. Which brand would you most like to do a crossover with?
A: Our Girls’ Generation has nine members, each with their own distinctive fashion style. If Topshop could do one different style for each of us as a collaboration plan, I would look forward to that.

Q4: If you were to design clothes with Topshop, how would you do it?
A: I like clothes that are “bling bling”, so the very glamorous “party look” will definitely be my first choice of design.

Q5: What’s your favorite style of clothing?
A: Even though I like the glamorous stage look, I like clothes which have detail and are feminine for my outfits on normal days. Even if they are tight-fitting, I love wearing them as long as they look comfortable.

Q6: What individual activities have you been busy with recently?
A: Before this collaboration with Topshop, we just finished our concerts in Japan. So after coming to Hong Kong, I have to go back to South Korea to prepare for our Asia Tour, and of course we’ll be stopping over in Hong Kong for our concert.

Q7: What feelings does Hong Kong give you?
A: Actually I’ve been to Hong Kong a lot of times. This is already my third time within this year. Hong Kong is really a great place for shopping. I only have to go to one shopping mall and I can already buy all the brands I want. And all your building designs are really unique!

Q8: Have you eaten any Hong Kong delicacies that are hard to forget?
A: Actually this place really has too many good foods, it’s just a pity that I don’t have enough time to try them all. However, I really enjoy the dimsum and the roasted meats.

Topshop also released a behind-the-scenes video from its photoshoot with Hyoyeon and other models. In her short interview clip, Hyoyeon talks about what she likes about Topshop’s fashion and its ability to appeal to any age group. Watch the video here:

A:What TopShop products you have you purchased before?Hyoyeon: Everytime in Japan, I will specifically go shopping for accessories, especially big ones.

A:Is there any preferences in KR girls’ dressing?Hyoyeon: They hardly wear clothes that are sexy, carry big handbags with scarfs, for an overall, they dress simply.

Tiffany, who completed rehearsals for , was laid back and beautiful just like at the California beach. Like a person who has everything prepared. That is her way of living and her way of mapping out life. Twenty-five, Tiffany is astute.

“At my current age, I don’t think I can express myself like Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. I think doing music that suits my age is most natural and great. That is also truly what is most like you.”

The ‘hurl-down pitch’ you threw in LA garnered lots of attention.
I was actually ill-prepared for it…. I don’t have any regrets though. I didn’t have any time to warm-up and went on the field for interviews and took pictures, and things were hectic so I guess you could say my energy weakened? I didn’t know there would be that many reporters either, so I was a bit taken aback.

Are you personally satisfied with the results?
I’m not a baseball player, and I think that was enough for it to be a fun and enjoyable experience. After pitching, I asked Hyunjin Ryu, ‘Could I throw it one more time?’, but he replied, ‘No, you can’t.’ (laugh) So I told him next time, if possible, to let me sing the National Anthem instead of pitching. I get less nervous if I have to sing. Anyway, it was a place where I could show my Korean pride, so it was an honor.

Right after you returned from completing the photoshoot in LA, you appeared at
; you must be really busy. You frequently have shoots overseas. Do you have a secret when it comes to getting used to different time zones?
There isn’t anything in particular, but my body adjusts on its own. When it’s dark, I sleep, and when I open my eyes, I eat. (Haha) Girls’ Generation doesn’t have a problem with jet lag. We go overseas almost every week, so we’ve gotten used to it.

After your schedules in LA, did you return after relaxing?
After debuting, we haven’t received a long vacation, so my members and I talk about vacations a lot. Saying we should go somewhere by ourselves if we get the chance to later in the future.

Where do you want to go on vacation to?
Florida or Las Vegas.

Do you want to go to the casinos?
No. I just want to shop freely and watch fun shows.

‘Tiffany’s compact car’ came up in real-time search charts recently. Is there a reason why you bought a compact car?
It was my first car ever, so I thought it would be good for it to have a special meaning. Before purchasing it, I thought a lot about it before deciding. If not now, I didn’t think I would ever be able to ride it. And the price was nicer than I thought. (laughs)

Do you drive often?
Honestly, there isn’t a lot of time to drive. It’s been about a year since I bought my car, but I only have about 1000km on it. So I just gave my car key to my manager to hold onto.

Out of all the places you’ve driven to, which place left an impression?
Itaewon. While feeling a bit of ‘Itaewon Freedom’, I went with four of my members. At the time, I didn’t know how to read the GPS, so we wandered for a really long time, but I think it was a dynamic experience.

We’re going to try a simple psychology test. You went to a bookstore. From bestsellers, fashion magazines, autobiographies, and romance novels, which would you choose?
Tiffany: Hm… A bestseller. I actually went to the bookstore not too long ago. When I go, I usually buy the original novel of films. I read the books beforehand for movies that I like when they’re about to premiere. I bought
, which is a rated book, but it’s good. (Haha)

Is there a particular reason why you buy the original novels?
I want to act in the future, so I think it’s a process in preparing for that time. I can see how the actors portray the characters in the novels and studying them also helps me.

I will tell you the result of the psychology test now. ‘Bestseller’ can be interpreted as uneasiness towards being behind the generation. Do you agree?
I think that’s correct. My mentality is coming out exactly. (laughs) I constantly make an effort not to fall behind and keep learning. That’s also a celebrity’s fate.

Is there anything you’ve become immersed in lately, that you don’t even realize time is passing?
As always, I think it’s music. Not too long ago, Justin Timberlake made a comeback for the first time in 7 years. The album was so good that after I listened to it, I tried listening to albums from his ‘98 debut until now. I think music is something that’s new every time you listen to it. He also debuted as an idol, promotes as a soloist, and is an artist who acts, so I think there is a lot I could learn from him.

Depending on your age, doesn’t the type of music you seek differ?
You’re right. When I was in my early 20′s, I liked bubbly, cute songs, but I think I prefer mature music now. At my current age, I don’t think I can express myself like Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. I think doing music that suits my age is most natural and great. That is also truly what is most like you.

Is there, by any chance, a talent someone else possesses that you would want to steal?
Beyonce’s professional spirit. I read an article with her interview recently, and she said, ‘I prepare 3 months for a 15 minute performance.’ What’s even more impressionable was when she said, ‘If I can’t at least sing or dance like this, I’d be a fool. That’s because I put that much effort into it and am that confident.’ I thought that she’s really a great professional. Personally, I think that talent isn’t natural, but that it’s more important to put forth an effort.

I think that intense self-regulation is inevitable, especially to survive in the entertainment industry.
Yes. Rather than getting to the top, maintaining that summit is even more difficult. (laughs) And so endlessly working hard is very important.

That’s true. There must be a lot of idols who covet Girls’ Generation’s position.
Fortunately, the results are just as good as the hard work put into it, so I’m proud. Even on days I have off, I receive lessons and practice choreography.

If you always think about music, doesn’t life become monotonous? There ought to be times where you get stressed or suddenly feel futile. Is there an item that excites your life at times like that? Or are you going to answer ‘music’ again?
No. Shopping. (laughs) I have a lot of interest in fashion, so I really like clothes. Because I’m a girl, I try on pretty things, and when I buy clothes, I get in a good mood.

Do you eat foods well without being picky?
Yes. Surprisingly, I’m not that picky. I like Korean food in particular. In the past, I ate cereal or bread for breakfast, but now, if I don’t eat kimchi and warm soup, my day is tiring. (laughs)

The future can be vague for one person, while it’s specific for others. When you imagine your future 5 years from now, what kind of life do you see unfolding?
I’m really specific. (laughs) This is because, looking at BoA sunbae, I dreamed of becoming a singer and was determined, with a plan of, ‘When I go to Korea, I’m going to at least become like BoA sunbae.’ Honestly, my members and I even say, ‘Did you think we would become like this?’, and I said, ‘Of course. Because I prepared for it completely.’ I think I’m always preparing and planning for the future. And so in 5 years, don’t you think I’d become an artist who seeks her own music, promoting solo like Beyonce? In 5 years, I’ll be 30 years old, so I think I’d also get married. Because I want a family at 30.

So you’re saying you want to have your cake and eat it too?
Yes, I do.

Then, in order to fulfill your future, is there something you’re doing?
It’s been 6 years since we’ve debuted. So if I’ve practiced filling the stage with 9 members until now, I’m practicing filling the stage with 3 members, promoting as the unit ‘TaeTiSeo’ last year. Also, OSTs have been helping with the experience of overwhelming the public with just my voice, without dancing.
is my fourth OST, and I got a little greedy this time around and worked really hard. While recording in the studio, I extended the hours I worked. If you listen to OSTs I sang in the past and this one, there’s probably going to be a big difference. (laughs)

What about your thoughts on marriage? Like you said, what kind of man is your ideal husband?
In the past, my visual ideal type was Jo Insung, but I heard about his relationship not too long ago. (laughs) I actually think my marriage partner would be someone with the same beliefs as me. I’m Christian, there are spouse prayers, and I think God will decide on who will become my husband.

August 1st is your 25th birthday. Is there anything you have planned by any chance?
Girls’ Generation’s debut date is August 2nd. And so we’ve been talking about having a grand celebration together with my birthday and debut anniversary this year. I want to rent out an amusement park and play all day, but I’m not sure if that would work out well. (laughs) If it doesn’t, I’m just going to eat dinner with the members.

Your ‘this or that’ style makes it seem like you’re a radical type.
Yes, that’s right. I’ll either go big or go small.

What’s the biggest personal change for you as of late?
There isn’t anything special.

Then I’ll change the question. What is a personal change you want?
Oh, I thought of something. I’ve been receiving lessons lately. I received a guitar as a gift not too long ago, and a guitar is a bit of a wild instrument, and I’m a bit wild too? And so I’ve been learning piano to become a bit more relaxed, but [the person teaching me] is someone I know personally, so they aren’t strict on me. So I’m looking for an instructor who will scold me while teaching me. Someone who’s really scary.

During interviews, there are words that interviewees particularly put emphasis on. I felt a strong emphasis on ‘acting’, so do you have a desire to become an actress?
Yes. There are images that Girls’ Generation members give off to the public. Like ‘someone acts, someone sings’. I have a strong vocal image, but if given the opportunity, I would really like to act. It’s not that I want to play a lead immediately, but I’m waiting for my first role that can portray me in the prettiest, best way.

Isn’t the term ‘pretty’ defined as to express appearance?
No. It’s just a role that can naturally show my real self. I want a role that is so natural that it makes it look like I’m not even acting.

Specifically, what kind of character?
A bright, strong, astute, and a role kind of like Candy (translator’s note: from the ‘Candy Candy’ anime). (laughs)

You’re reaching your mid-20′s now. What is your life moving towards?
K-Pop is gaining lots of popularity in America. In the past, I thought, ‘It’s Girls’ Generation, why can’t we enter the United States?’, but I think there’s a time for everything. I’m working hard now, waiting for that opportunity. It’s a wisdom that I’ve gained while being active until now, but I think waiting for the right moment is important. If you work hard, your sincerity gets through, and I truly believe an opportunity will come.

Sooyoung and Seohyun Interviewed for ‘High Cut’ Magazine

Sooyoung and Seohyun Interviewed for ‘High Cut’ Magazine

Sooyoung and Seohyun Interviewed for ‘High Cut’ Magazine

I recall Akdong Musician’s song lyrics, ‘It’s not just us two meeting, but my heart is fluttering’, when I look at Sooyoung and Seohyun. We were tight on time for the shoot, so the interview was done in writing. It was better off. Self-interests end here.

High Cut: What do ‘chopstick legs’ mean to Sooyoung?

Sooyoung: Good and bad traits. I think the title ‘chopstick legs’ is a really good thing. When you just hear it, it gives off the impression of a slim, nice body. But I honestly want to gain some weight. I wish mine were healthy, beautiful legs.

High Cut: What do sweet potatoes mean to Seohyun?

Seohyun: I’m a bit sick of it now, so it’s a food I’m trying to distance myself from. (laughs)

High Cut: Is there a weakness that Sooyoung wants to hide?

Sooyoung: If I really wanted to hide it, I wouldn’t say it. (laughs) My uneven eyes. People may not know, but if you pay attention and look, I have uneven eyes, so it’s a bit of a complex.

High Cut: What does pianist mean for Seohyun?

Seohyun: I’ve liked playing piano so much since I was little, so it’s a dream that I worked hard preparing for at one point.

High Cut: What does an airplane mean to Sooyoung?

Sooyoung: I think, at the most, we’ve ridden it ten times, going back and forth, in a month. The airport is a place where I want to be comfortable at, but can’t (because [their] airport fashion always get shot). The cabin is where I can be the most comfortable in.

High Cut: What does diplomat mean to Seohyun?

Seohyun: A term that always makes my heart flutter. I want to live a life spreading knowledge of Korea, like a diplomat.

High Cut: What is an aegyo (that you could never do even if you die) for Sooyoung?

Sooyoung: What I want to do for the person I love, when I get one. (laughs) [That is] something I can’t do anytime before then, until I die.

High Cut: What does ‘big player’ (translator’s note: big spender) mean to Seohyun?

Seohyun: I guess you could say that my mom’s warm generosity was passed down to me. (laughs)

High Cut: Who are seniors that Sooyoung depends on the most?

Sooyoung: I rely on Girls’ Generation seniors the most. Or ‘um-sunbae’ (translator’s note: “sunbae” means senior), my mom. (laughs)

High Cut: What does ‘first love’ mean to Seohyun?

Seohyun: Something that’s like a raindrop? It’s really pretty, but is something that will disappear if you try to mess with it hastily. Something that everyone is clumsy with.

High Cut: Who is a junior girl (or boy) group that you’ve been paying close attention to the most lately?

Sooyoung: I really don’t know a lot of juniors these days. In the past, when seniors said, ‘There are so many of you that I can’t tell who is who,’ we said, ‘We all look different’. But I can’t tell that well even when I watch music programs. SHINee is great too, but they’re so good that I don’t think of them as juniors, but colleagues.

Seohyun: There are a lot of talented juniors these days. Out of them, the groups that left the strongest impressions with their performances and concepts on stage are VIXX and B.A.P.

High Cut: Spring is passing already, and the summer is nearing. Is there anything you want to do the most this summer?

Sooyoung: I want to go to a vacation spot and not swim, but just go to a spa. I can’t swim, so I don’t enjoy the water much. When I went to Boracay with Yuri before, I was scared when we went into the ocean, so I held onto Yuri the whole time. I must have been a bother because she just gave me a tube. Yuri’s a seal. I get vicarious satisfaction from watching her swim.

Seohyun: The time I can spend with friends is minimal, so I want to go on a vacation with close friends and relax. When I’m with friends, I like sharing values and an atmosphere different from myself. More than anything, I’m happy just being with friends who like the person Seo Juhyun.

In Sooyoung’s Opinion: SM Best 10 — Of SM artists, someone I think would have done really well as a ___.

Politician – BoA unnie. When I see her judging, I think she would handle national issues or anything perfectly.
Cook – Kyuhyun oppa? Because when I just imagined him wearing an apron, it suited him. (laughs) He likes wine. I imagined him using wine while cooking pasta.
Drama Writer – Jonghyun? Because he’s good at writing lyrics. I think he would be good at writing scripts sensibly, too.
Racecar Driver – Siwon oppa? I rode in his car before, and he’s really good at driving. Also, because he’s tall, I think a car racer outfit would suit him well.
Baseball Pitcher – Minho? Because he’s good at any sport.
Fashion Designer – Tiffany? She likes flashy things, so I think she would become a designer who makes dresses. Though it would only be pink.
Fund Manager – Sunny? I think she has good financial sense.
School Head Instructor – Kangta senior? Just because he’s a senior. (laughs) I think he would be a stylish teacher. Like a sculpture.
National Secret Agent – [Lee] Yeonhee unnie. She’s good at sports, and since she doesn’t speak a lot, I think she would be good at keeping secrets. And since she’s pretty, people wouldn’t suspect her as much.
CNN War Correspondent – Seohyun!!! She’s good at languages~ And she’s firm.

SM Best 10 in Seohyun’s Opinion— Of SM artists, someone I think would have done really well as a ___.

Politician – Siwon oppa. Out of the SM family, he is the politician prospect that comes to mind. It’s a nickname that stuck because he’s gentle and formal wear suits him well.
Cook – Changmin oppa. His personality is most homely, and I think he likes cooking as well. I saw how he had doenjang jjigae (translator’s note: a stew made from vegetables, seafood, or tofu) as his profile photo, but I think he made it a lot better than I could.
Drama Writer – Sooyoung unnie. She always imagines fun things a lot, and she leads conversations that form a consensus. She reads a lot of books too, so I think she would be really good at it.
Racecar Driver – BoA unnie? She is so charismatic and cool on stage, but normally, she’s cute. She also does things without doubts and plays hard.
Baseball Pitcher – Hyoyeon unnie. She said her dad was a catcher. (laughs) More than that, she actually has a strong competitive spirit, and is quick and athletic, so I think she would be good.
Fashion Designer – SHINee’s Key. He normally has a lot of interest in fashion, and I think he’s really good at expressing himself through clothes. It was really difficult picking out his birthday present.
Fund Manager – Tiffany unnie. She’s a real housekeeper. She writes in her account ledger meticulously and calculates things accurately. I need to model myself after her.
School Head Instructor – Yunho oppa. He has leadership. When he’s funny, he’s really funny, but he gives lots of advice or tells juniors good things.
National Secret Agent – SHINee’s Minho. He’s a close friend, so I discuss worries with him every now and then, but he has a loyal personality, so he’s trustworthy.
CNN War Correspondent – An f(x) member? (laughs) They move quickly, have their own principles, and have a bold side.

Interview with Girls’ Generation’s Award-winning Stylist Seo Sookyung

Interview with Girls’ Generation’s Award-winning Stylist Seo Sookyung

Interview with Girls’ Generation’s Award-winning Stylist Seo Sookyung

Girls’ Generation’s stylist, Seo Sookyung, is renowned for her talent, even winning the Style Award at the 2012 Gaon Awards. She took part in an interview with MK Fashion, talking about her life, style, and working with Girls’ Generation.

“It’s been exactly 10 years this year.”

She became a student under stylist Han Hyeyeon when she was barely in her 20s. She said she felt like crying, walking along the streets where her first photoshoot, which she shot carrying around a pack of clothes larger than herself, was plastered in Myeongdong. And after 10 years, she has become an “executive director”, with six assistants. Also, the celebrity she fastens buttons for with her own hands is Girls’ Generation.

“People usually work as an assistant for three to four years, or there are some who don’t go independent becoming an executive director, and become a team leader. Compared to others, I went independent really early. I was lucky.” The opportunity she had to go from a trainee to a stylist, making a full-fledged business card and making her name known, was while she worked on the advertising shoot for the makeup brand, “Etude”. At that time, the official model was being changed from Song Hyegyo to Go Ara, and that was when she got her chance. She showed off all the skills she learned through various brand advertisements to her heart’s content. Even after the model was changed to Park Shinye, she was in charge of the brand’s face for three years.

“Good things happened all at once. Jung Hyeyoung, who I was in charge of at the time, was becoming known as a charity angel, causing advertisements to burst in. And Shinhye’s management requested that I become an exclusive stylist, and I worked with them since ‘You’re Beautiful’.” Without measuring it with anything else, the seven years of time she spent only looking towards her job replied to her with the most valuable “Girls’ Generation”. After meeting the girls in 2011 through “The Boys”, she showed off her characteristic bright and happy-feeling styling skills, showing off a vintage, painting-like teaser, resulting in her receiving attention every day.

In particular, she also presented Girls’ Generation the “fashionista” look this year. She had the girls, who were the symbols of group outfits, wear vivid jerseys, denim, kitsch, custom jewelry, and other clothes that showed off their own, individual personalities freely. Each member was able to gain an image of a fashion icon. Sooyoung, Jessica, and Seohyun became models for a handbag brand and makeup brands, and their photos, which are released even when they aren’t promoting, gain interest every time.

Interview with Girls’ Generation’s Award-winning Stylist Seo Sookyung

Along with causing a great ripple effect with her existence alone, being in charge of Girls’ Generation’s clothes, the director’s sense of responsibility in the “fashion business” is also unique.

“Like how people think, ‘neutral colors are classy’, you have to throw away fixed ideas on fashion. There aren’t styles but trends, so the fashion market can’t grow in various directions. And so that’s why I intentionally have Girls’ Generation dress in bright, beautiful clothes. I think that they need to wear it because they are Girls’ Generation.”

To her high school teacher’s instructions of “Find something you do the best, and are fastest at”, she took in clothes that she reformed. The 10 years she lived, only facing forward. She worries because she still wants to do this work for a long time.

“About 12 times a day, I think about how I can do this work longer. (laugh) Because there wasn’t a single time when I was sick of this work.” Also, as she began to gain juniors while working, she started thinking a lot about the treatment of stylists. As feelings of responsibility to take care of her family began to emerge, her thoughts regarding fundamental problems got deeper.

Interview with Girls’ Generation’s Award-winning Stylist Seo Sookyung

“Unlike the West, our country’s entertainment industry doesn’t ‘find’ stars, but has a structure of ‘creating’ them, so expenses during this ‘creating’ process aren’t generated. If that celebrity becomes successful or ‘rises’, that is when earnings are generated. And so it doesn’t get calculated per piece. And so new stylists can’t earn money. Also, like how the majority of our country’s broadcasts are, the time to prepare outfits are unreasonably short. We always have to prepare several outfits in a week, causing us to stay up countless nights, sometimes resulting in many people quitting from exhaustion.” There are some people who quit in just one day after not being able to handle it physically. There are also times where she thinks of the other person, that they need to be able to do things alone as well, and nags. But they don’t realize her intentions and end up quitting, leaving her in an awkward position.

“Just like how there isn’t an easy job in the world, you need to start this work with thoughts of learning. This occupation is also a specialized job. The process of learning and studying on the scene is needed. But there are people who jump into this without any knowledge of these circumstances and are quick to quit after comparing it to friends who work in regular workspaces, so it breaks my heart. It’s not a system of increasing salaries as time goes by, and earning promotions, so I think people are uneasy about it.”

K-League Interviews Taeyeon for Official Guidebook, ’2013 Beautiful K-League’

K-League Interviews Taeyeon for Official Guidebook, ’2013 Beautiful K-League’

K-League Interviews Taeyeon for Official Guidebook, ’2013 Beautiful K-League’

In the 2013 K-League (editor’s note: South Korean football league) official guidebook, Taeyeon was voted as the ideal type of K-League. Out of 755 players who voted, 540 voted for Taeyeon as their ideal type, naming her “Miss K-League”. Kim Taehee and Kim Sarang took second and third place in the poll, respectively. The official guidebook, titled “2013 Beautiful K-League”, also included an interview with Taeyeon.

The Woman K-League Loved, Taeyeon

We asked the somewhat cheeky question of “Who is your ideal type?” to players who will be playing in the 2013 K-League Classic and K-League Challenge. While married players didn’t answer with their wives in mind, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, who received enthusiastic support from unmarried players, beat actresses Kim Taehee, Kim Sarang, as well as another girl group member, miss A’s Suzy, and became “Miss K-League”. We had to hear from Taeyeon, who received a generous amount of love from the K-Leaguers.

-Beautiful K-League: Passing prominent candidates, Kim Taehee, Suzy, and Kim Sarang, you have become the number one ideal type amongst K-League Classic and Challenge players. How do you feel?
-Taeyeon: I can’t believe it. (laugh) But I feel really good. Thank you.

-Beautiful K-League: Are you, by any chance, used to soccer players’ affections? Why do you think Beautiful K-Leaguers chose you as their ideal type? I want to hear your honest, inner thoughts.
-Taeyeon: I’m not sure. I’m really not. I’m starting to wonder what that reason is too.

-Beautiful K-League: Most of the players who chose you as their ideal type were born in the later years of the 1980′s. Looking at just those results, rather than ‘samchon (translator’s note: uncle) fans’, it seems the fan composition has changed to ‘friend fans’ or ‘dongsaeng (translator’s note: younger) fans’. Is that how it really is?
-Taeyeon: I think the type of people who like Girls’ Generation is always diverse. If we gain fans who are good at sports, I think it would be very nice.

-Beautiful K-League: In 2008, there were performances at various soccer matches, from a Korea-Japan all star match, to a Manchester United visitors match, to a Peace Queen Cup. Is there a difference between concerts and other events?
-Taeyeon: I always perform at concerts happily, but there has been a moment where I worried about the soccer field grass being damaged.

-Beautiful K-League: If you were to choose an ideal type amongst soccer players, who would it be?
-Taeyeon: When I see players sweat on the grounds, they all look hard-working and cool, so it’s hard to pick just one person.

-Beautiful K-League: Which Girls’ Generation member has the most interest in soccer?
-Taeyeon: All my members are active, so I think they all like soccer. Personally, I sometimes play Winning 11 (translator’s note: football game). (laugh) I like soccer!

-Beautiful K-League: K-League has been met with its 30th anniversary. Could you give the players and fans a line of encouragement?
-Taeyeon: I think it’s most appealing seeing you focus and sweat during each match. I will continue to look forward to great matches. And please love Girls’ Generation lots!
