Yuri Leaves an Autograph and Message for a Fan of ‘Fashion King’

On April 11th, an official Twitter account for SBS, the network on which “Fashion King” is aired, uploaded a picture of a note from a fan asking the actors in the drama, Shin Sekyung, Yoo Ah-in, and Lee Jehoon for autographs. The SBS Twitter account also included a message saying, “This is a note by Miss Myoongji (translator’s note: the fan asking for autographs), along with Miss Yuri’s cute comments, found at a filming set for ‘Fashion King’. Miss Myoongji~~ Please ask for Yuri’s autograph in the future too.”

Yuri garnered attention with her witty comments and by leaving an autograph when the note hadn’t asked her to do so.

On the note, she left her autograph and a comment saying, “Hi?! It’s me! I’m Kwon Yuri kekeke. Why… am I not on there… my autograph.. is also.. useful.. keke. I will do it [give an autograph] for you instead keke.”

Additionally, Yuri caused laughter by writing, “Don’t sneak in next time! P.S. If you want to, ask for my autograph” to the fan who apparently snuck onto the set.

Girls’ Generation to Form Subunits?

Lately, rumors of Girl's Generation's first sub-unit has been making rounds in the K-Pop industry. The mooted sub-unit will supposedly comprise of our three vocal powerhouses; Taeyeon, Tiffany and Jessica. These rumors originated from jamfactory.co.kr, a music publication company known for their ties with SM Entertainment and have since being spreading wildly across the online community.

The company initially posted, “Our songwriter’s song has been selected for one of the songs in Girls’ Generation’s sub-unit group’s (Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Jessica) new album, so we’re busy arranging the piece” on its online message board. This sparked a feeding frenzy amongst SONEs, though not everyone is on the same page on their thoughts of this mooted unit. While some fans are against the idea, others welcome it as a avenue in which they can see more of their bias.

On April 12, a representative of SM Entertainment vaguely stated, “Details have not been finalized yet.”

Well, while I personally think that it's a bad idea, but regardless of what happens, I'll support our girls all the way! What do you guys think? Leave a comment below and let us know!

Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun Beats miss A’s Suzy for “Youngest Mascot” Girl Group Member Honor !

Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun Beats miss A’s Suzy for “Youngest Mascot” Girl Group Member Honor

Who would you pick as the #1 youngest girl group member that serves as the “mascot” of the group?
According to a recent poll conducted on DC Inside, a Korean online community board, Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun received a whopping 55% of the votes to earn the top “youngest mascot” member of all girl groups.

In the survey that ran from April 3 to 11, Seohyun got 3,466 votes out of the total 6,297 votes. The survey organizer explained Seohyun’s girl-next-door look, combined with her surprisingly sexy and elegant image, earned her the top spot.

miss A’s Suzy came in at second with 14.2% of the votes, followed by f(x)’s Krystal who received 5.6% of total responses. T-ara’s Jiyeon, Brown Eyed Girls’ Ga In, and Kara’s Kang Ji Young were ranked #4, #5, and #6, respectively.

Who would you have picked?

[Exclusive] Interscope Records has big plans for Girls’ Generation!

Yesterday I got some insider goss on Asia’s biggest girl group that was just too good not to share with my fellow K-Poppers.

After successfully introducing Girls’ Generation to American audiences earlier this year, Interscope Records is now determined to turn the girls into global superstars, and it’s all thanks to Interscope chairman Jimmy Iovine. The label boss was impressed with the way the girls handled themselves when they made their US TV debut in late January, and now he’s convinced that they have what it takes to go international.
Now that pop groups are becoming big in the States again, Iovine’s made Girls’ Generation a “top priority” at Interscope. Not only will they have access to the biggest producers that the label has to offer, but he’s also planning to have them work with some lesser-known names to try and find the best sound for the group. In short: everyone is going to be submitting material for the SNSD album.

The plan is to have the girls focus on their Korean and Japanese activities for the rest of the year, while they quietly prepare for their international debut with an English album, which is tentatively due for release next year.

Interestingly enough, Jimmy has also been talking about 2NE1 after learning about the group through will.i.am. But despite all the international attention that 2NE1 has been receiving, Iovine seems to be more interested in Girls’ Generation and is throwing all of his support behind them right now, although he could end up being involved with 2NE1 in the future.

It’s not hard to see why Iovine has taken more of a liking to SNSD over 2NE1. With their stunning beauty and synchronized dance moves, they probably remind him a lot of the Pussycat Dolls, who he launched to pop stardom back in 2005.

So guys, be on the lookout for Girls’ Generation to make a major grab for global success next year. Who’s excited?

Girls’ Generation Yuri’s “Cool” Attitude Gets Noticed in Recent Autograph!

An autographed note personally written and signed by Girls’ Generation‘s Yuri popped up recently on an online community.

While the autograph wouldn’t have made headlines on its own, the humorous nature of it caught the eyes of netizens, drawing laughs over the cool way Yuri handled a situation that could’ve been potentially uncomfortable.

Attached to the post was a letter a fan had written to the cast of SBS‘s ‘Fashion King‘, expressing her love for the show and asking for the cast’s autographs. Unfortunately, it seems the fan mistakenly left out Yuri.
The ‘Fashion King’ fan wrote, “Jae Hoon oppa, Ah In oppa, Se Kyung unni, I request a signature from each of you.”

The Girls’ Generation member noticed she was missing and commented on the page, “Hi, it’s me. Kwon Yuri. Why… was I not included… Unni’s signature… is rather useful too, you know. Unni will sign it for you.” Apparently, the fan had previously sneaked into the filming studio because Yuri added, “P.S. Next time, don’t sneak into the set. And if you are going to sneak in, ask for my autograph too.”
Netizens commented, “How can she be so cool about it?” “I’m liking her more already,” and “I think I became Yuri’s fan now.”

Seohyun and Hyoyeon 'Wows' Fans with Chic Fashion !

Girls’ Generation members Hyoyeon and Seohyun made an appearance at a department store recently and they brightened up the room with their beauty.

On April 6th, Hyoyeon and Seohyun attended an open event that was held at the Lotte Department Store in Incheon International Airport.

Even though the two were dressed in a comfortable fashion, they made their presence known. Hyoyeon showed off a chic look by wearing an ethnic one-piece dress, matching it with a black rider jacket. Seohyun, as per usual, showed off an innocent student look wearing a pink jacket with skinny jeans. What particularly captured the attention of onlookers was Seohyun’s long and slim legs that were reflected in the mirror, even when wearing flat shoes.

Other than the Girls’ Generation members, actor Lee Jung Jin also attended the event.
