Girls’ Generation – TTS Nominated in ’2012 MelOn Music Awards’

Girls’ Generation – TTS has been nominated in the ”2012 MelOn Music Awards”. The “2012 MelOn Music Awards” will be held on December 14th at the Seoul Olympic Stadium. It will be hosted by LOEN Entertainment and MBC Plus Media, music companies that run MelOn.

The “2012 MelOn Music Awards” officials explained, “We are planning on creating a music festival where we can look back at music trends while loved artists and music lovers can share interests. With the participation of MBC Music, we are preparing the best performances and directions.”

The event will be aired live through MBC Music, MBC every1, and YouTube.

A total of 16 awards will be given, and they consist of the “MelOn Music Awards Top10″, along with artist, album, global artist awards, popular, music style, and special awards. The music style and pop awards were newly added.

An account on MelOn is required to be able to vote. However, registration is limited to South Korean residents. Voting from MelOn users will account for 20% of the votes for each award. With the increased popularity of K-Pop all over the world, the “Global Star Award” will be awarded based on YouTube view counts and popularity.

The first voting cycle, which will pick the top 10, will open on November 15th until November 28th. The results will be revealed on MelOn’s homepage on November 29th. The 30 nominees for the “2012 MelOn Music Awards” were chosen by calculating the number of downloads, which accounted for 60% of the vote, and streaming number, which accounted for 40% of the vote.

Tiffany is a Winter Beauty for “High Cut” Magazine

Tiffany is getting ready for the upcoming winter through a charming photo shoot for style magazine, “High Cut.”

Tiffany posed for a recent “High Cut” pictorial with various winter items such as a floral print jumper and gold military pants. Such items are hard to pull off but Tiffany did a great job in making the items look stunning.

Eyes were especially drawn to Tiffany’s multi-charms, showing off boyish and feminine auras at the same time. Her big fur hat, along with her fur cape and fur vest perfected a lovely winter look. Tiffany gave experienced poses and confident facial expressions that really showed her exceptional professionalism and modelesque charms.

Tiffany’s winter pictorial for “High Cut” will be released on November 15 while unreleased cuts will be revealed on the online website.

Girls' Generation's favorite car brand revealed

Ever wondered what car brand and model do SNSD members drive?

Recently, a fun fact was revealed on what car brand and model the members of SNSD drive. It is known that most of the members drive a BMW. Three to four members of SNSD drive the same model of BMW Mini Cooper, Hyoyeon is known for owning a BMW Mini Cooper.

The other members of SNSD like Jessica also owns a BMW but it is a 320i Model. Two members who do not own a BMW car are Yoona who owns a Volkswagen Scirocco and Taeyeon who owns a Porsche Boxter.

Girls’ Generation Holds LG Fansign Event

On November 15th, Girls’ Generation held a fansign event in celebration of a new LG store branch opening in Gangnam, Seoul. Throughout the past year, Girls’ Generation members have appeared in various LG advertisements and CFs as endorsers for the LG TVs. Fans who took part in the event were able to personally greet one of the girls and receive a personalized autographed LG poster. With each member dressed in their own unique trendy fall fashion, Girls’ Generation truly shined and stunned everyone in attendance.

Girls’ Generation to Release ’2011 Girls’ Generation Tour DVD’

Nine months after Girls’ Generation’s second tour through Asia ended in Bangkok, Thailand, SM Entertainment will now be releasing the “2011 Girls’ Generation Tour DVD”, featuring footage from the concert tour’s start in Seoul, South Korea on July 23rd and July 24th.

The DVD hits shelves on November 30th and will cost 33,000 won. It will consist of two discs showing nearly all of the performances during the concert, a bonus film of the making of the concert, performances from Japan, personal interviews with the members of Girls’ Generation, and waiting room and rehearsal footage. A photobook and a first press limited edition poster will also be included with the DVD.
