Girls’ Generation brings home first win with ‘I Got A Boy’ on M!Countdown!
Having made their comeback in Korea with a brand new album just last week, Girls’ Generation’s title track ‘I Got A Boy’ has received its first win on Mnet’s M!Countdown!
With a total of 10,000 points for ‘I Got A Boy’, Girls’ Generation surpasses Baek Jiyoung’s ‘I Hate It’ to bring home the trophy!

The release of a shoot, proving Shinee's support for SNSD's comeback, has become a hot topic.
On 6th January, a status along with a picture, meaning "This was the memorial shoot of Shinee's JongHyun and Minho, who visited for 'I Got a Boy' first comeback stage at SBS Ingikayo," was uploaded to SM Entertainment official Facebook page.
In the unleashed photo, it left out the attitude in which Shinee's members JongHyun and Minho surprisingly logged into SNSD's waiting room while carrying a cake in the purpose of celebrating the girls' first comeback stage at Ingikayo.
Paying a visit to the girls, JongHyun and Minho were smiling brightly in the harmony with SNSD members. Consequently, the photo noticeably sparked the citizens' attention through the closeness of these two idol groups.
People who had learned about the photo reacted with some positive comments such as: "It's great to see Shinee and SNSD getting closer," "The girls would work harder after receiving Shinee's support," "Nice-looking Shinee and SNSD!~"
Girls’ Generation Makes a Comeback on ‘Inkigayo’ with ‘Dancing Queen’ and ‘I Got A Boy’
Girls’ Generation successfully returned to SBS’s “Inkigayo” on January 6th to promote their latest album, “I Got A Boy”.
Prior to their performances, Girls’ Generation had a short interview with the MCs of the show. Regarding their new concept, Tiffany said that Girls’ Generation took off their unified stage outfits to allow members to show off their individual charms and that they have returned with a funky, free hip-hop track. IU, one of the MCs for “Inkigayo”, jokingly added the reason behind Girls’ Generation’s success by explaining, “This is the year of the snake, and six members of Girls’ Generation are the snake sign.” When asked about Girls’ Generation’s plan for 2013, Yuri replied, “After promoting ‘I Got A Boy’, we will be having a Japan tour. After that, I want to have a concert in Korea.”
“Inkigayo” concluded its music broadcasting program with Girls’ Generation’s performances of “Dancing Queen” and “I Got A Boy”. The members were adorned in colorful tops and matching skinny jeans in “Dancing Queen” and red track outfits to match their powerful choreography for “I Got A Boy”.

Girls’ Generation Performs ‘Dancing Queen’ and ‘I Got A Boy’ on ‘Show! Music Core’
On January 5th, Girls’ Generation made a successful return to “Show! Music Core”. Hosted by MCs Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun, “Show! Music Core” featured songs from many different artists and concluded with Girls’ Generation’s “Dancing Queen” and “I Got A Boy”. The members of Girls’ Generation continued to surprise fans with their varying outfits, donning colored sweaters and berets for “Dancing Queen” and new white, blue, and pink outfits for “I Got A Boy”.
Girls’ Generation’s next comeback stage will be tomorrow, January 6th, on SBS’s “Inkigayo” and will again feature “Dancing Queen” and “I Got A Boy”.
