Girls’ Generation releases ‘GiRL de Provence’ Perfume CFs

Girls’ Generation has just released different CFs for the ‘GiRL de Provence’ perfume from 10 Corso Como through SMTOWN’s official Youtube channel on December 20th.

The ladies of Girls’ Generation transformed into sweetly scented ladies as their flaunted their dazzling beauty with ‘GiRL de Provence’ perfume.

‘GiRL de Provence’ was first seen in Girls’ Generation – TTS’s music video for “Twinkle”. The perfume, which was sold for one month only from June 8th to July 8th, is the unique perfume line created with inspiration from Girls’ Generation.

Girls’ Generation Ranks First for Korean Singers on 2012 Oricon Chart

Girls’ Generation’s success in Japan is evident yet again as Oricon released their yearly sales chart. Amassing a revenue of over 4.3 billion yen (550 billion KRW; $51 million USD), Girls’ Generation tops Korean sales in Japan and was the seventh highest grossing artist overall for 2012. This news comes days after their second Japanese album achieved platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).

“Girls’ Generation II ~Girls & Peace~” and three singles, “Paparazzi”, “Oh!”, and “FLOWER POWER” earned high spots in daily, weekly, and monthly Oricon singles charts for the year. The “Girls’ Generation: Complete Video Collection” released in September sold over 87,500 copies and was certified “Gold” by the RIAJ.

Oricon’s yearly chart for 2012 recorded sales from December 26, 2011 to December 17, 2012.

Girls’ Generation to Release a New Track from Upcoming Album on December 21!

Girls’ Generation has made a surprise announcement of a new track that is to be included in their upcoming new album.

On December 20, SM Entertainment announced this through Girls’ Generation’s official Twitter and Facebook accounts. They posted “2012. 12.21. 10AM” along with a photo of Girls’ Generation’s logo, which elicited much curiosity from fans.

While SM Entertainment did not make any official statements, media outlets have figured out that on this date and time, a new Girls’ Generation track will be released. This new track will be included in their new upcoming 4th album.

Girls’ Generation has set their Korean come back to early January of next year. Before their official come back, Girls’ Generation has decided to surprise fans with a new track.

Inside sources commented, “The track that is to be released on this date will be just as good as the title track.”

Girls’ Generation made their last come back on October of last year. According to sources, Girls’ Generation has been stopping all other activities and focusing on their 4th album.

Girls’ Generation Releases Cryptic Teaser Image

On December 19th, SM Entertainment and Girls’ Generation released a teaser image through their official Twitter accounts, SMTOWN GLOBAL and Girls Generation. The text on the emblem reads, “소녀시대 2013″, with the upcoming date and time, “2012. 12. 21 10A.M.”, underneath it. The flowers surrounding Girls’ Generation’s name symbolizes South Korea’s national flower, rose of sharon. No further details have been released, but SM Entertainment is stirring up early excitement for fans with this mysterious picture.

Girls’ Generation is rumored to have a comeback in January of 2013 with a full length Korean album. MBC is also preparing a comeback broadcast for Girls’ Generation. It will be an independently organized show apart from their music program, “Show! Music Core”.

Yuri And Seohyun Encourage Fans to Vote

Girls’ Generation‘s Yuri and Seohyun recently took a photo right after they submitted their ballots for the presidential election.

On December 19, Yuri updated Girls’ Generation’s official home page with a photo and the caption, “Our wish~ would be that you would go out and vote just like us. Your vote means a lot. Yuri and Seohyun have already submitted their votes!”

In the photo, Yuri and Seo Hyun are posing outside the voting poll and taking a pose in front of the sign. As female idols, they exhibited a great sense in fashion, nevertheless, and are receiving nods of approval from netizens for encouraging younger people to vote.

Netizens who saw the photo and message commented, “Such pretty girls. I just submitted my ballot too”, “Such beauties. They just shine” and “They’re even more adorable now that they’re taking photos of getting out there and voting.”

In the picture, the singer is holding a cotton candy as she makes various cutesy facial expressions for the camera. In one photo, she pretends to take a bite of the candy; and in another, she closes her eyes and making a “kiss” pose with her lips.

Netizens who saw the pictures commented, “Jessica looks so lovely,” “She looks like a cute puppy,” “I want to become the cotton candy,” “Who is she sending that kiss to?,” and “What is her secret in becoming prettier day by day?”
