First stamps featuring Girls' Generation to be issued in August



As we have reported in the previous news, Girls' Generation will be on stamps! And the stamps are planned to be released soon.

Girls' Generation's own personalized stamps will be made available this August.

According to the Ministry of Knowledge Economy (Ministry of Post), "Girls' Generation stamps have been approved directly by the headquarters of the post office and will be the first issued stamps featuring an artist, one who has dazzled the world as a protagonist of the global K-Pop phenomenon."

They have also added that the Girls' Generation stamps are a special production.

The stamp sets will also commemorate Girls' Generation's 5th year as a group, and will include handwritten signatures on each member's solo images from "The Boys." Other stamps will feature the album covers of their past releases including "Gee," "Oh!", "Girls' Generation," "Hoot" and "Genie" for a total of 14 different stamps.

The Seoul Central Post Office will sell the Girls' Generation stamps for 20,000 won each beginning early August before over 50 post offices nationwide will begin selling them as well. The stamps will also be viewed at the "Korean Stamp Exhibition" at COEX between August 9th and 13th.

In addition, director Kim Taewan said, "The postage stamp of Girls' Generation will help contribute to and spread the Hallyu wave, and help culture development."

Meanwhile, Girls' Generation has released their newest Japanese single, "Paparazzi."

Girls’ Generation to become the first celebrities featured on stamps

It has been revealed that stamps utilizing the images of Girls’ Generation will be put on sale starting in August!
According to The Korea Post, “The first celebrity stamp, which has been directly contracted and issued by The Korea Post, have been produced using Girls’ Generation, who is the leader of the K-Pop fever, as its model.”
The new stamps will be sold as a set commemorating the group’s 5th anniversary since debut. It will contain individual member images from their 3rd album, ‘The Boys‘, that will have the girls’ autographed on it, along with jacket images from other albums like ‘Gee‘ and ‘Oh!‘, for a total of 14 stamps.

f(x) member Krystal revealed her wishes for a duet with her sister, Girls Generation‘s Jessica.

The members of f(x) were recent guests on MBC FM‘s ‘Younha’s Starry Night‘ and on the show, they were asked who they wanted to have a duet with.
Krystal answered, “I want to have a duet with my sister (Jessica) once,” and added, “During the SMTOWN concerts, we performed a collaboration together on stage. It’s really fun. It’s fun and interesting to be on the same stage with my sister. So I want to have a duet with her.

Fans Storm the Macau Ferry Wharf for SNSD


With hundreds and hundreds of fans screaming their names, the Girls’ Generation (SNSD) members halted activities at the Macau ferry terminal. 

On July 1, SNSD arrived in Macau for MBC’s K-POP Nation Concert in Macau 2012, where the group, along with SHINee, U-Kiss, and B.A.P are scheduled to perform on the evening of July 2. 

Hundreds of fans waited at the terminal, cheering and shouting for SNSD when the girls became visible. 

The members waved enthusiastically to fans. With the unexpected amount of fans that showed, extra hands were needed for security. 

It was said that a group of fans were waiting for SNSD at the Macau airport due to false information of SNSD′s arrival, confirming SNSD′s global popularity. 

An event coordinator from MBC Plus Media said, “With the incredible popularity of not just SNSD, but hallyu idols as well, we will do our best to put on a worthwhile performance.”

The concert will take place on July 2 at the Venetian Macau-Resort hotel.

Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon Is Getting Prettier by the Day



Recently, Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon has been attracting attention for her ever increasing beauty, as well as her resemblance to pop icon Britney Spears. Several months ago, the singer, along with her fellow members, shot a new CF for beverage company Yakult. Dressed in a simple black tank, she looked confident and absolutely gorgeous.
