Girls’ Generation‘s Jessica had fans searching for their jaws after seeing the beauty’s latest pictorial for ‘Beauty+‘.

Jessica teamed up with her endorsed beauty brand ‘banila co.‘ for the pictorial to opt for a darker, edgier look with her smokey eye makeup to go along with her black and white dresses, completing the sultry, yet refined image.

During the interview with the magazine, the idol star shared her beauty know-hows and revealed that her must-haves in her purse include her mist spray, moisturizing cream, tint, and perfume. She also revealed that despite her ‘ice princess’ image, she likes to keep it casual and fun on her off days, sharing, “I like to collect sneakers and t-shirts.”

Girls’ Generation teams up with Hair Couture

Fashion hair specialist brand, Hair Couture, has signed a joint enterprise contract with Girls’ Generation and SM Entertainment.

Hair Couture revealed that they will be producing and distributing various fashion hair products starting June. Girls’ Generation has become one of the leading icons in fashion, will not only take part in promotional activities, but also in the planning and development for products.

Hair Couture CEO Kim Minseok said, “We’re planning to produce various products that match the characteristics and styles of Girls’ Generation. Since they’re Hallyu icons all over the world, we think we can receive a good response from the world market.”

Yuri Prepares Herself for Arena Concert by Stretching in Backstage

On March 24, Japanese channel MBS aired documentary “Jounetsu Tairiku” about Girls’ Generation, their extravagant on-stage celebrity selves, and more down to earth, honest, and earnest behind-the-scene lives during their busy schedule between Korea and Japan.

The documentary successfully garnered attention from dedicated Girls’ Generation fans with their detailed documentation of the group’s journey, especially of their preparation of the arena tour. Girls’ Generation is the first Korean girl group to go on the arena tour and are expecting to gather approximately 200,000 people in the audience. During their preparation for one of the live concerts, the camera captured Yuri stretching in the backstage.

According to “Jounetsu Tairiku,” intense stretching is a part of Yuri’s daily life. Yuri is known for her athletic abilities among fans and have been voted as the best body by foreigners in the past, all thanks to her love for yoga and stretching. Yuri flaunted her flexibility and perfectly lean body in front of the camera with some stretching moves like bending her body forward and lifting her leg straight up above her head.

“Jounetsu Tairiku” also documented members of Girls’ Generation diligently preparing for their Japanese arena tour and promoting recent Korean album “I Got a Boy.”

On March 27, Girls’ Generation’s YoonA posted a message through the group’s official homepage.

It reads, “You’re doing well S♡NE, right? It feels like it’s been a long time since I wrote something. I’m currently really busy participating in the arena tour. When I recently went to Korea, it was during the last bits of winter so it was really cold. I hope that no one got a cold~ I’m getting better. Please be careful.”

Meanwhile, Girls’ Generation is currently touring Japan with “2013 Girls’ Generation’s Arena Tour” and will host its last concert on April 21.

Girls’ Generation seriously discussed their position as musicians in the industry.

The group appeared on a Japanese documentary program MBS’ ‘Jounetsu-Tairiku’ and revealed their great life as singers as well as their behind stories about their hardships and concerns as a group.

During the interview, the members were asked to place themselves between ‘idol’ and ‘artist’. Jessica expressed her disappointment at what the word ‘idol’ has come to mean, saying “an idol is someone who is admired by the youth, but these days, any young singer can be called an idol.”

Sooyoung added, “Honestly, we want to be called an artist.” Yuri then pointed out that those titles cannot be decided on one’s own and that the right is given to the public.
