Girls’ Generation Welcomes Readers to Billboard’s ‘K-Town’ 

American music site Billboard.com debuted their new K-Pop-centric column on January 29th called “K-Town”. Wearing their red stage outfits from “I Got A Boy”, Girls’ Generation welcomed readers to the column with cheerful enthusiasm in a video celebrating the column’s debut. Tiffany congratulated “K-Town” and expressed her hopes that Girls’ Generation will be featured regularly. 

Girls’ Generation’s newest album, “I Got A Boy”, was met with critical acclaim by the American media, including a track-by-track review from Billboard.com’s K-Pop columnist, Jeff Benjamin. Billboard promises that “K-Town” will “bring readers K-pop news, songs, and music videos each week. Not to mention, weekly chart articles on the Billboard Korea K-Pop Hot 100 chart.”

A video of Girls’ Generation‘s YoonA cutely ‘threatening’ Yuri has gone viral with fans.

The video was taken while the girls were taking a short break during their autograph session. During the rest time, the girls joked around with each other and couldn’t stop laughing. YoonA and Yuri were sitting right next to each other, and YoonA took the chance to pretend she was drawing her elbow back in preparation to hit Yuri. Yuri tried to block the elbow, causing both girls to explode into laughter.

SNSD’s member Hyoyeon has sparked a great attention through her honest confess.

At MBC new entertainment program ‘Blind Test 180 degrees’, held recently, Hyoyeon startled everyone by confessing without any hesitation that, “If I get stress, I also go to club as well.”

On that day, MC Boom questioned Hyoyeon who together joined the recording, “Does SNSD go to the place like club?” She responded, “I am a freewheeling person. As I experience stuffs like stress, I also go to club as well.” Accordingly, showing off the aspect that she is a club lover, Hyoyeon said “At club, DJ takes the most important role. SNSD’s ‘I Got a Boy’ takes the first place in January monthly music chart (01.01–25.01), presented by Ktf’s wired/wireless Music Portal Best Music.

‘I Got a Boy’ is a song consisting the personality which mainly emphasizes the chatter, rap, hip hop, and dance of the girls full of curiosity. Noticeably, SNSD’s lately released song ‘Dancing Queen’, too, shows its powerful popularity as claiming the fourth spot respectively.

KTMusic spokesman stated, “Songs that contain the experimental individuality had drastic challenges for this January first and second best popular songs.” He added, “The lyrical ballad songs are also receiving the steady and practical recognition as well.”

Fans will soon get a chance to witness more interaction between Girls’ Generation and Shinhwa, for the girls will be the next girl group to feature as guests on JTBC‘s ‘Shinhwa Broadcast‘, following SISTAR.

On the 28th, a representative of the station revealed that Girls’ Generation recently featured as guests during a filming for the show.

Girls’ Generation’s YoonA, Taeyeon, Sunny, Sooyoung, Hyoyeon, and Yuri are reported to be the six beautiful ladies of the group who will appear on the show alongside the six members of Shinhwa, raising curiosity about which members of the girl group and Shinhwa will couple up with each other for the upcoming episode.
