Japan’s popular rock band L‘Arc-en-Ciel revealed that they are also fans of Girls’ Generation.
Through an interview to promote their 3rd concert in Korea which will be taking place on May 5th, L‘Arc-en-Ciel members had hinted that they hope to see Girls’ Generation at their concert.
During the interview, the members were asked about the things that they will be anticipating the most during the concert in Korea this time. To this, L‘Arc-en-Ciel replied, “We are curious about who among the Korean artistes, would be coming to our concert. Probably Girls’ Generation or….”, shyly revealing their wish.
Upon seeing the news, netizens gave various reactions and commented, “L‘Arc-en-Ciel are Girls’ Generation’s fans too”, “Full of anticipation for their concert”, “Instead of Girls’ Generation, we will go”, “Legendary band, L‘Arc-en-Ciel!”, etc.
L‘Arc-en-Ciel’s concert will be held at Jamsil Indoor Gymnastics Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul at 7pm KST on May 5th.
Ever since its release, Girls’ Generation – TaeTiSeo’s mini album ‘Twinkle’ has been topping Japan’s Tower Records’ preorder chart for 3 days in a row before dropping to the no.2 spot on May 1st. Besides that, the mini album has also managed to secure the 4th placing on HMV’s preorder chart as well, which is an indication that TaeTiSeo is receiving explosive response and interest among Japanese music fans.
Innolife and other Japanese media stated, “Even with only 3 members, it’s enough (to achieve such amazing feat). There is a huge interest in Girls’ Generation – TaeTiSeo among international fans”.
TaeTiSeo will be performing ‘Twinkle’ for the first time on Mnet ‘M Countdown’ on May 3rd.
This week, tomorrow (Thurs. May 3, 2012), Girls' Generation-TTS will have their first stage performance / Debut Stage on MNet Countdown!
They will perform the main single of their first mini-album, 'TWINKLE'. And not only TWINKLE! But they will also perform the 2nd track from the same album, 'BABY STEPS'!
'TWINKLE', which is so 80s, so cheerful, and has a Disco atmosphere and will make you move your body to dance like Elvis Presley or move like Jagger, will be performed along with 'BABY STEPS', which is so ballad, and a bit touchy! They will show us their 2 different characters on 1 day on MNet Countdown!

Singer Ivy revealed that she was the lyricist for Girls’ Generation’s ‘Dear Mom’ which was released in 2009.
On SBS ‘Strong Heart’ aired on May 1st, Tiffany disclosed that she is a fan of Ivy’s songs and at the same time, revealed facts about Ivy as a lyricist. Tiffany said, “In one of our albums, there is a song called ‘Dear Mom’. As I’m a fan of Ivy, I knew it was her as soon as we received the lyrics”.
Ivy then responded, “I used the name ‘The Lighthouse’ while I was carrying out my songwriting activities. I was having a difficult time then and like a lighthouse, I wanted to give lights to people around the world. That was the reason why I came up with the name ‘The Lighthouse’”.
Tiffany added, “We kept this (Ivy’s identity) as a secret but now, I want people to know that Ivy is the songwriter known as ‘The Lighthouse’”. Besides Girls’ Generation, Ivy was also involved in SHINee’s album.
Girls’ Generation will make cameo appearances as cartoon characters for the webtoon “ENT”. “ENT” is a new upcoming webtoon production by Yoon Inhwan, author of “The New Undercover Royal Inspector”, and is also co-produced by SM Entertainment. The second illustration of the webtoon was released on April 30th, showcasing the nine girls in their “The Boys” promotional outfits. The girls are to have cameos in order to add a sense of realism to the series.
“ENT” is a fictional story about two people. The first person is A (fake name), a normal high school student who is the vocal singer of an SM rookie group called “Born on 4th of July”. The second person is Foxstar, a famous fanfiction writer. This webtoon will be about the fanfiction that Foxstar writes based on insider information that she obtains from A about SM, and the incidents that follow after its publication.
The CEO of “Ylab”, the production company of “ENT”, approached SM Entertainment about this webtoon when production first started. SM Entertainment has since fully cooperated in the production of this webtoon, viewing its purpose in a positive light.
SM Entertainment’s artists will appear with their real names in the webtoon, and it is predicted that the series will garner the attention of both manhwa and K-Pop fans alike.
The webtoon “ENT” will be publicly released in black and white through a website belonging to Club Sunday, one of Japan’s biggest manhwa publishing companies. It will then be opened to the Korean public on July 4th through Naver’s webtoon services.
On MBC’s ‘Joo ByungJin Talk Concert’ which will be aired on May 3rd, leaders of Hallyu, Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany and Seohyun along with TVXQ and Super Junior’s LeeTeuk and EunHyuk will be making an appearance on the show.
In the ‘Lunch Talk’ corner, the SM Entertainment artistes were asked about things they wish to tell lovers and how they want their spouses to wake them up in the morning. Besides that, the members’ opinions about marriage related matters will also be revealed.
This episode of ‘Joo ByungJin Talk Concert’ will be aired at 11.15pm KST on May 3rd.
Girls’ Generation‘s Tiffany revealed which of her fellow members made the biggest money on the May 1st broadcast of SBS ‘Strong Heart‘.
When asked who made the most amongst Girls’ Generation, Tiffany answered, “YoonA has a lot of individual activities… so honestly, it’s YoonA.”
“But Seohyun, Taeyeon, and I will be promoting as unit ‘TaeTiSeo‘ and so we are looking forward to the results,” she continued.
Then Super Junior member Leeteuk revealed, “Last year I participated in 8 different programs and a CF too, but I didn’t make the most, Choi Siwon did. He made a lot of money filming CFs in Taiwan.”
Fellow member Eunhyuk added, “No matter how much we make, the amount will be less than the amount Siwon has now,” causing everyone on set to laugh.
