‘Love Rain’ stands still...

KBS2 TV drama “Love Rain” continues with its snail pace.

According to AGB Nielsen Media Research on April 25th, “Love Rain” aired on the 24th, rated 5.6%. This is 0.4% higher than the previous episode.

However this drama is on a standstill mode and has the lowest viewing percentage compared to other dramas. SBS “Fashion King” and MBC “Lights and Shadows” rated 9.4% and 23.6%.

“Love Rain” is significantly far from “Lights and Shadows" and the gap with “Fashion King” is also widening. Unlike viewers’ expectations, it was rated as cliché since the very start and even though the scene of the drama has changed in generations, it still doesn’t attract any attention.

While Jang Geun Suk (Seo Joon) and YoonA’s (Jeong Ha Na) love mode has become official, many wonder if the viewing rate will turn direction and go up again.

"Fashion King" Staff Impressed by Yuri's Acting!

Girls Generation‘s Yuri is impressing many viewers and TV industry officials with her acting. Currently, Yuri is appearing on SBS “Fashion King” as Choi An Na, who is cold-hearted and career-driven and yet, struggling with deep emotional scars as she tries to, but is unable to, win the heart of the man she loves.

Through “Fashion King,” Yuri is showing a completely different and new side of her as actress Kwon Yuri. Although this is her first time acting, Yuri is successfully portraying the multitude of Choi An Na’s character with fierce focus. Previously, YoonA first made a debut as an actress among Girls Generation members, followed by Tiffany, Taeyeon, and Sunny‘s debut on musical theatre stages. Sooyoung is next in line, waiting for her debut as an actress in July. Currently, YoonA and Yuri are appearing on different dramas that air at the same time.

Many industry officials are highly impressed by Yuri’s acting. A staff member of “Fashion King” commented, “We were worried at first because this is Yuri’s first time acting. But now, we have nothing to worry. She is doing so well. In my opinion, Yuri will be able to play a main role soon after ‘Fashion King.’ She’s got potential.”

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon gave Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany a big hug to overcome his anxiety.

On the April 24th episode of SBS ‘Strong Heart’, Lee Joon revealed his phobia of exchanging greetings with Girls’ Generation. He explained, “I’m just too shy to greet Girls’ Generation. If I were to smile while greeting them, I’m afraid that they might think I’m weird.”

Tiffany confirmed, “Everytime we meet one another on music programs, Lee Joon would avoid eye contacts with us and went out of sight.”

Eventually, Park Kyung Lim offered some advice to Lee Joon and demonstrated a way to greet Tiffany. As coached, Lee Joon approached Tiffany and greeted her happily with a big hug. He continued with a short “Gee” dance and ended with a respectful 90-degree bow.

Jessica among Top 10 girls worldwide with doll-like looks!

Jessica’s doll-like appearance has received international recognition.

Recently, an American blog site ‘oddee.com’ has selected the top 10 females from all over the world with doll-like looks. Other than Jessica, among others who were listed in the top 10 list were model-cum-movie actress Lily Coles, England’s Dakota Rose, Chinese high school student, Wang Jiayun, etc.

Jessica’s hairstyle and perfect side facial profile earned her the recognition from the blog site and thus, a place within the top 10.

Girls’ Generation’s 1st Japanese single ‘Genie’ certified ‘Platinum’ in Japan!

Girls’ Generation’s 1st Japanese Single ‘Genie’ was certified ‘Platinum’ by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) for ‘PC Download Singles Division’. According to RIAJ’s certification, any album or single that sells more than 250,000 copies will receive the ‘Platinum’ certification!

‘Genie’, released in September 2010, received its ‘Gold’ certification back in October 2010 and the fact that it has been upgraded to ‘Platinum’ is an indication of Girls’ Generation’s consistent popularity in Japan.

Currently, while Girls’ Generation members are having their individual activities, Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun will be releasing a mini album ‘Twinkle’ as sub-unit called ‘TaeTiSeo’ on April 29th.

Hyoyeon will be joining the cast of “Dancing with the Stars 2"

 

Hyoyeon will be joining the cast of “Dancing with the Stars 2,” which begins airing April 27th at 9:55 KST on MBC.  An MBC staff member stated, “After confirming her participation, Hyoyeon has been busy practicing. You will get to see a new side of Hyoyeon.”

As we know, Hyoyeon is the best dancer in SNSD, so a show like this just makes sense for her to be on.  The producers of the show stated, “As expectations are high, Hyoyeon has also been practicing a lot. It will be a chance for Hyoyeon to show off free dances unlike Girls’ Generation’s choreography.”

I’m betting the dancing queen has a great chance at winning the competition!  I wonder how she’d match up with the other professional dancers that are regulars on the show?  There is a reason why her nickname is the “dancing queen” .  Good luck to Hyoyeon, hopefully, actually scratch that, she will light up the dance floor!

It's Twinkle Twinkle Up In The Sky

Amidst recent photo teasers from the TaeTiSeo sub-units, SM Entertainment released the ‘Twinkle’ teaser featuring Taeyeon on April 25^th. While the clip hasn’t been released for a long time, it has already garnered plenty of positive response from viewers all over the world.

The teaser beings with Taeyeonstepping out of a Rolls Royce Phantom while Tiffanyand Seohyun followed after her. Although this clip stars Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyunlooked flawless as did their leader.

With countless of fans drooling over Taeyeon’s beauty, many have already forgotten about the misgivings they had over the initial idea of a sub-unit as well as the photo teasers. With Tiffany’s teaser set to be released tomorrow and Seohyun’s on the 27^th, expect the hype to grow even further in anticipation to the official MV release on 29^th April.
