Royal Mini Album: The Kim Family Sub-Unit

A Girls’ Generation sub-unit is set to their first mini-album “Twinkle” on 2nd May, but the line-up of this unit is not exactly what previous rumors said it would be. Comprising of Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun, the trio is better known as TaeNyHyun or the royal Kim Family to shippers.

SM Entertainment officially announced the creation of this new sub-unit today amidst rumors of a TaeNySic sub-unit being formed.

This move may come as little surprise to neutral onlookers, given how active the three have been lately, appearing on MBC’s Music Core as MCs as well as each releasing an OST for the dramas of late.

Fans will be hoping that the girls will be able to build on their recent success in the upcoming mini-album, which is aimed at grabbing the attention of fans not only musically, but also performance and fashion-wise.

Fan will not have to worry that SM Entertainment will being to favor the TaeNyHyun unit more though; they released in a statement saying, ‘Girls’ Generation’s subunit will feature the various talents of each Girls’ Generation member by changing the members of the unit according to the music and concept of each new subunit album.’

As such, we will no doubt see the all of the girls appearing in sub-units at one point or another, leaving rumors of a possible disband an unfounded fear for now.
